We are delighted to announce that Leanne Waldron has joined St Matthews as our new Headteacher.
Leanne brings a wealth of experience in specialist education and a deep commitment to ensuring every pupil with SEND is understood, supported and given the opportunity to thrive. She is passionate about building strong relationships with pupils, families and staff, and about creating a calm, nurturing school where every young person feels they belong.
A message from Leanne
I am thrilled to be joining the St Matthews family. From my very first visit, I was struck by the warmth of the school and the dedication of the team. I am excited to get to know every pupil and their families, to build on the fantastic work already happening here, and to make sure St Matthews continues to be a place where our young people feel safe, valued and inspired to achieve. My door is always open — please do come and say hello.
Working together
Leanne will be in school from the start of term and looks forward to meeting parents and carers over the coming weeks. If you would like to arrange a time to speak with her, please contact the school office.
Please join us in giving Leanne a very warm welcome to St Matthews.
